Reflective Tiles

This scene shows the reflective capabilities of Tong combined with normal mapping for the stones. Unfortunately, normal mapping in this context gives us the impression that the stones are sinking into the ground instead of standing out. This can be rectified by using a technique known as displacement mapping.

The right hand image shows the depth of field. The aperture in this instance was 0.3, and the focus is directed towards the back-left of the bottom plane.

The sky-box is from Half-Life 2 and the window texture was from Thief 3. I’m - sadly - not a very good artist.
